The Camarillo Community Band has begun its 2021 Summer Concert Series at Constitution Park, corner of Paseo Camarillo and Carmen Drive, on Thursday evenings in July, starting at 7:00 PM. Band members are adult volunteers who love to make music for the enjoyment of Camarillo and surrounding communities. Any adult musician is welcome to join.
Founded by Kirk Raymond in 1986, the band seats an average of 120 musicians each year.
The Summer Concert Series draws from 250-400 audience members for each performance. A Christmas concert in December usually attracts more than 350 people. The band participates in the Annual Memorial Day Service at Conejo Mountain Memorial Park that draws thousands. Most audience members come from Camarillo but attendees come from all of Ventura County and even from Los Angeles County and beyond.
The Camarillo Community Band is an all-volunteer organization of adult musicians. The purpose of this corporation is to provide an opportunity for local musicians to continue their love of performing music in an enjoyable environment and to provide an entertaining community concert experience for local residents.
